Zulamy Rodríguez was born in Habana, Cuba and raised in South Florida. She graduated from the Miami Dade College Physician Assistant Program, receiving highest honors and went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Applied Sciences. She is NCCPA certified and licensed in the state of Florida since 2015. Zulamy is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA), the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI), the Florida Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Society (FAAIS) and the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD).
During her years of academic instruction, Zulamy acquired vast experience in the diagnosis and management of various skin conditions by training alongside a prominent dermatologist in the Miami area. Shortly upon graduation, Zulamy joined Dr. Ana M. Lamas in practice bringing with her an interest and expertise in the evaluation and management of dermatologic conditions. As an allergy PA she evaluates, treats and manages patients with a wide spectrum of allergic disorders including: rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, atopic dermatitis, food allergies, eosinophilic esophagitis and allergic gastrointestinal disorders, insect hypersensitivity, drug reactions, urticaria and anaphylaxis. Zulamy also performs skin biopsy procedures for the definitive diagnosis of various skin disorders such as urticaria, allergic contact dermatitis, drug reactions and insect hypersensitivity.
As part of the aesthetic services we offer at Lamas Medical Center, Zulamy performs electrocautery for the removal of undesirable skin tags and seborrheic keratosis.
She is fluent in Spanish.
